  • What Are the Long-Term Benefits of Chiropractic Care?

What Are the Long-Term Benefits of Chiropractic CareChiropractic care helps millions of people through nonsurgical and nonpharmaceutical means each year. In fact, it’s estimated that more than 10 percent of the US alone is currently seeing a chiropractor (35 million, to be exact).

Still, confusion persists over what a chiropractor is: what they do and, more importantly, how chiropractic care can benefit the patient. In the following article, we shed light on the procedures and why tens of millions of chiropractic patients come back, again and again, each year. Let’s start cracking!

    Greater Flexibility and Mobility

Chiropractors adjust and manipulate the spine and other body parts to facilitate movement and flexibility. When you are more flexible and mobile, you are less prone to injuries and can do far more things physically.

One recent study out of Australia looked at 105 patients, who all reported an increase in their range of motion after receiving chiropractic treatment. That alone can make one more likely to exercise and feel better.

    Improved Breathing

Another aspect of seeing a chiropractor that patients have reported is the benefit of airflow and breathing. Treatment improves one’s posture and lung capacity.

With these two benefits working in tandem, it can help clients with a number of breathing issues. It’s not a cure-all for sinus issues and respiratory diseases, but it can offer relief that puts one in a better position to manage their symptoms and enjoy a better quality of life.

    Boosted Immune System

The chiropractor’s cost can be well worth it when you consider the ways that treatment factors into your immune system. Think about the benefits we’ve already discussed, for starters.

Better control over your breathing, flexibility, and movement means leading a more active lifestyle. Physical activity, particularly vigorous activity of 30 minutes to an hour a day, promotes other avenues of health. That improves your body’s ability to prevent or manage infections and disease.

    Increased Circulation

The best chiropractors will tell you that the job is about more than adjusting necks and backs. It’s about offering systemic support to the entire body.

Chiropractic care can increase the flow of blood as it goes to and from your heart. This increase in blood flow enables your organs to function correctly.

People who suffer from potentially life-threatening conditions like blood clots, diabetes, and obesity, may find chiropractic care helpful. All these conditions stem from poor circulation.

    Better Wellness Overall

Scheduling regular visits to a local chiropractor can keep all body components operating smoothly, thus encouraging healthier eating, activities, and decision-making. It focuses on wellness and not simply the body’s structure.

Chiropractic Care Can Improve Your Life in So Many Ways

Research shows how regular chiropractic adjustments help the nervous system function. Your nervous system controls and coordinates all of the other parts of the body.

If you’ve been on the fence about receiving chiropractic care, wait no longer. You deserve to operate at the very best your body can do. Getting in on the above benefits of visiting a chiropractor could surprise you with a level of health you no longer thought possible.

  • How Much Does a Chiropractor Cost?

HOW MUCH DOES A CHIROPRACTOR COSTMore than 65 million Americans suffer from some form of back pain. Anyone who suffers from back pain knows what a debilitating condition it can be. It’s one of the leading causes of missed work and can level even the strongest people.

Fortunately, there are a lot of things that a person can do for back pain. Most people look for a pill to help with the pain. But you don’t want to get on addicting opioids, and it can take a long time to wait for a doctor to write you a prescription for physical therapy. That’s why many people turn to chiropractors.

But how much does a chiropractor cost? This article will walk you through all you need to know about how much it costs to attend the best chiropractor near you.

What Is a Chiropractor and What Do They Do?

A chiropractor is someone who diagnoses and treats pains and diseases that arise from the spine. The spine is the central link to all nerves in the body, and research shows that by accessing the spine, chiropractors can help many types of illnesses

The most common thing that people go to chiropractors for is back pain. And indeed, doctors of chiropractic are very effective at treating back pain. Chiropractors mainly work in adjusting the spine, so musculoskeletal problems are usually relatively easy for chiropractors to deal with.

Chiropractors work on restoring the body’s natural movement capabilities through spinal adjustment. Because of this, many people report a lifted mood after working with chiropractors. Patients have also reported that chiropractic can help with asthma

Around How Much Does a Chiropractor Cost?

Generally, chiropractors are quite affordable. The cost per visit ranges typically from thirty to one hundred dollars, with some high-end places going up to two hundred dollars per visit. The average has been reported at about 65 dollars.

The cost also depends on whether or not our insurance covers chiropractic. Chiropractors do not attend conventional med-school, so you most likely won’t get referred to one by a doctor. Often insurance companies categorized chiropractors as specialists.

However, this price can be dropped down by a number of things. Some chiropractors offer payment plans with discounts for the different programs. Many chiropractors provide wellness services at a low-cost monthly fee as well.

Many chiropractors offer discounts for having multiple family members getting care. Also, if a chiropractor provides different services, those service prices can be lower when packaged together.

Go to a Reliable Chiropractor for Quality Whole Body Treatment

Many people suffer from back pain problems. Thankfully, there are a lot of solutions. Chiropractors don’t only get to the underlying cause of back pain. They readjust the spine so that the pain and symptoms don’t come back in the future.

Now that you know the answer to the question — how much does a chiropractor cost? — you can get the care you need without worrying. Make sure you go to a well-regarded chiropractor and has had a lot of training, not just the cheapest.

Our clinic is a direct-pay clinic. Direct-pay means that you pay us, and if you have insurance that covers care, we give you a statement to send your insurance company to get paid back. And our cash prices are less than the average report. Let us know if we can help you with your chiropractic needs.

  • What Does Science Say About Covid-19 and Kids?

What does science say about covid-19 and kidsOver the last year, I have put up a few blog posts about what science says about different topics. School has just started for many kids in the United States, so I wanted to dive in and look at what science is saying about how Covid-19 affects kids.

What are the numbers for kids and Covid-19?

When writing this article, the CDC website reports that 385 deaths have Covid-19 have occurred in the 0-17 age group in 2020/21. During the same period, 54,062 children have died from all causes. In the 18 months, 0.679% of all deaths had Covid-19 as a cause.

Let’s dive a little deeper into that number. According to research done by Dr. Marty Makary, a professor at John Hopkins, he looked at 48,000 healthy kids who contracted Covid-19. Not one of those kids died of the disease.

Even the American Academy of Pediatrics stated the available data indicates that hospitalizations and death of children from Covid-19 are uncommon. According to the states reporting good hospitalization data, kids account for 1.7% of total hospitalizations. And of the childhood cases, 0.001% result in death.

American Academy of Pediatrics Child Mortality Data

The CDC data I stated above did not account for underlying conditions in the kids who died from Covid-19. The bottom line is if a child is healthy, without any comorbidities, they will not die from this disease.

    What About Masks for Kids?

There was an excellent article in the Wall Street Journal by two doctors on the case against masks for children. They summarized the adverse side effects of kids wearing masks, specifically the psychological issues with having kids wear masks all day.

Masking makes non-verbal cues hard to understand. It also mutes emotions expressed in the faces of other kids and teachers. These cues are needed in the learning process. Not being able to communicate verbally and non-verbally can ultimately cause symptoms such as anxiety and depression.

A group of parents, curious about the contaminates in their masks, and their children’s set out for answers. They used new or freshly-laundered masks for a 5 to 8 hour period. After a day of use, they sent the face masks to a lab at the University of Florida. The https://rationalground.com/dangerous-pathogens-found-on-childrens-face-masks/lab analysis detected 11 dangerous pathogens on the masks. Here is a list of what they found:

    • Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumonia)
    • Mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis)
    • Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis, sepsis)
    • Acanthamoeba polyphaga (keratitis and granulomatous amebic encephalitis)
    • Acinetobacter baumanni (pneumonia, blood stream infections, meningitis, UTIs—resistant to antibiotics)
    • Escherichia coli (food poisoning)
    • Borrelia burgdorferi (causes Lyme disease)
    • Corynebacterium diphtheriae (diphtheria)
    • Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease)
    • Staphylococcus pyogenes serotype M3 (severe infections—high morbidity rates)
    • Staphylococcus aureus (meningitis, sepsis)

As you can imagine, the parents were shocked by this outcome. Unfortunately, it would be tough for rigorous research of this type because it would most likely be considered hazardous to the participant’s health.

We also know that wearing masks can increase the amount of carbon dioxide that anyone will breathe. Check out this video of testing a child wearing a mask if you want to see how much.

    Mask Test for CO2

I will end this section of this article with research done in Germany about masking during the last school year. After surveying parents for 25,930 children, this is what they found- “The average reported wearing time of masks was 270 min per day. Of the respondents, 68% reported that children complained about impairments caused by wearing the mask. Side effects included irritability (60%), headache (53%), difficulty concentrating (50%), less happiness (49%), reluctance to go to school/kindergarten (44%), malaise (42%) impaired learning (38%) and drowsiness/fatigue (37%).”

Here is a list of research on masks detrimental effects on development-

Here is research from schools without mask mandates from RationalGround.com-

    Do Children Spread Covid-19 Frequently?

Here is a quick summary of research on this topic:

    • A study out of England looking at 12 million adults living with children age 0-11 showed no association between living with kids and an increased risk of severe Covid-19 outcomes.
    • Researchers in Germany performed an extensive study of 2045 children and teachers at 13 schools. The results suggested that children may act as a “brake” on infections. They don’t efficiently spread this virus.
    • Archives of Disease in Childhood looked at multiple papers that concluded children are not Covid-19 super spreaders. The overall idea from this article published last April is that kids should go back to school.
    • Pediatrics, the official journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, showed no association was found between exposure to child care and Covid-19.

Conclusion of What Science Says About Kids and Covid-19

As you can see, a lot of research has been done, and most showing that kids are not at risk of severe issues with Covid-19. We also know that the effectiveness of masks worn by kids is inconclusive; however, wearing masks can be dangerous to a child’s physical and mental health. Science also shows that kids do not spread this virus easily.

  • How Gentle Chiropractic Techniques Can Help Your Entire Family

How Gentle Chiropractic Techniques Can Help Your Entire FamilyDid you know that one million chiropractic adjustments are performed each day in the U.S. alone?

That’s 35 million Americans adjusted every year. But what if you don’t like the feeling or sound of cracking bones?

Then you might like to try gentle chiropractic techniques. This gentle practice is an effective way to remove the pressure on the nerves and realign segments.

Learn more about gentle chiropractic techniques and see how spinal alignment can help you and your family.

    The Drop Technique

This technique involves the use of a chiropractic table to restore movement in spinal segments. It is most often used for pain in the lower back or pelvis.

A chiropractor will apply pressure to a particular area of the spine. As they do, the table will ‘drop’ quickly just a little bit, and you will hear a ‘popping’ sound. This style of adjustment may need to be done a few times to achieve full spinal manipulation.

    Spinal Mobilization

The goal of gentle spinal mobilization is to treat a range of problems. These include back pain, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Unlike spinal manipulation, which uses sudden force, spinal mobilization is less forceful. The process involves a gentle, low-force thrust motion to activate the joints. It also involves gentle stretching to improve mobility.

    Koren Specific Technique (KST)

The KST technique is an innovative method of chiropractic spinal care. KST is a three-step process: challenge, check, and correction.

The last step is often used with the help of an ArthroStim. It is an instrument that targets areas of subluxation, distortions, and stress. The ArthroStim gently vibrates and does not push, bend, twist your body. The adjustment, while gentle, is specific and powerful.

KST also can address deep stress that has affected your health for years. These stresses include mental/emotional and chemical stresses. This method also addresses cranial bones, extremities, and specific postures that cause subluxation.

You will feel the immediate effects of KST, and it is the perfect technique for all ages.

    Activator Method

An activator is a small, hand-held device that is applied to the affected area. It delivers a quick, low-force thrust to adjust the spine.

Usually, treatment will start at the lower back and progress up the spine and towards the head.

This method is high-speed and provides a localized force. This style of adjustment means the body does not need to bend or twist.

    Pelvic Blocks

This style of chiropractic adjustment is associated with the SOT chiropractic technique. However, pelvic blocks can be used with other methods. Wedge-shaped pelvic blocks are placed under your hips. The blocks serve as a type of lever that allows the pelvis to slowly adjust itself without the need for a thrust from a chiropractor.

Pelvic blocks have proven to be highly beneficial in the treatment of herniated discs. But are also effective in preventing headaches and pain in the hips and lower back.
