Functional nutrition and blood work review
A detailed review of your blood work, then a personal nutrition and supplement plan, with follow-up testing to see how things are changing.

What does functional nutrition mean at Dody Chiropractic?
It means nutrition advice built from your own blood work, not a generic diet sheet.
The practice describes its approach as brain-based chiropractic, qEEG neurofeedback and functional nutrition working as one system, not three separate treatments. Nutrition is the part that looks at the body’s raw materials: what you eat, what your markers show, and what might be worth changing.
What does a blood work review look at?
It looks for patterns in markers related to inflammation, hormones and nutrient levels, and treats them as patterns worth discussing rather than as diagnoses.
A standard lab report flags values that fall outside a reference range. A functional review looks more closely at how the markers sit together and what they might suggest about nutrition. Findings are explained in plain language so you know what each part of your plan is for.
A blood work review is not a diagnosis. It doesn’t replace your doctor’s care. If anything in your results needs medical follow-up, we’ll encourage you to see your physician.
What does a nutrition plan include?
A plan usually combines changes to your diet, targeted supplementation and follow-up blood work to see how your markers are changing.
The follow-up matters. It lets you and the practice see what’s shifting and adjust the plan from there, rather than guessing. Individual results vary, and we don’t promise outcomes.
Do you sell supplements?
When supplementation is part of your plan, the practice recommends specific practitioner-grade products chosen from your blood work.
You’ll hear why each one is suggested, and you can ask questions about anything on the list. If you already take prescription medication, keep your prescribing doctor informed. Decisions about medication belong to you and your prescribing doctor.

How does nutrition fit with chiropractic and neurofeedback?
It’s the third piece of the same approach: the brain, the body and nutrition looked at together.
Some people come only for nutrition. Others combine it with gentle chiropractic care or neurofeedback. People who mention low energy, brain fog or low mood sometimes ask whether nutrition plays a part. That’s a fair question to raise on the free call, and Dr. Dody will tell you what he thinks.

Who will I work with?
The nutrition side of the practice is led by Heather Dody, co-author of Brilliant Wellness with Dr. Michael Dody.
The book sets out the brain, body and nutrition approach behind the practice. Read about the book, or meet the practice and Dr. Dody.
