Dr. Michael Dody, chiropractor at Dody Chiropractic Center for Wholeness in Littleton, CO

What does Dr. Dody do?

Dr. Dody looks after the brain and the spine as one nervous system. He’s a Doctor of Chiropractic who also maps and trains brain activity, so he can look at both before suggesting anything.

In practice that means every new patient at Dody Chiropractic has the same first visit: a qEEG brain map, nerve scans and a full neurological and chiropractic exam. Dr. Dody then sits down with you, explains what he found in plain language, and lays out the options. Some people go on to chiropractic care, some to neurofeedback, some to both, and some to neither.

How did Dr. Dody get into neurofeedback?

Through a question his chiropractic patients raised: why do some people plateau despite good spinal care?

Chiropractic came first. A sports injury, and the chiropractic care that helped him recover from it, is what led Dr. Dody into the profession. After opening his Littleton practice in 2003, he became curious about the brain, and specifically about the patients who stopped improving even when their spinal care was going well.

That curiosity led him to neurofeedback, and then to qEEG brain mapping, which gives a measured picture of brain activity to plan from. He now has over a decade of neurofeedback clinical experience, and the idea he took from it still runs the practice: the brain and the spine are not separate systems. They are one nervous system.

How does Dr. Dody work with patients?

He measures first, explains everything in plain language, and is honest about fit, including when he doesn’t think the practice is the right place for you.

  • He reviews every brain map himself and goes over it with you.
  • He explains options, and what they cost, before anything is scheduled.
  • He won’t promise outcomes. People differ, and individual results vary.
  • He leaves medication decisions to you and your prescribing doctor.

Does Dr. Dody see children?

Yes. Dr. Dody works with children from about age five, as well as teens and adults.

Parents often book the free call on a child’s behalf. Children have the same kind of first visit, and a parent is involved from the first conversation onward. Neurofeedback sessions are calm and seated, and the feedback usually comes through a show or game on screen. How the practice works with children and teens.

What is Brilliant Wellness?

Brilliant Wellness is the book Dr. Dody co-wrote with Heather Dody about the brain, body and nutrition approach behind the practice.

It explains why the practice looks at chiropractic care, brain-based care and nutrition together rather than as three separate treatments. About the book or find it on Amazon.

Questions about Dr. Dody

Will I actually talk to Dr. Dody?
Yes. Dr. Dody oversees every patient’s care and goes over every brain map with you himself. The easiest way to start is a free call with Dr. Dody, where you can ask him anything before you decide to come in.
What is Koren Specific Technique (KST)?
KST is the gentle, instrument-based adjusting method Dr. Dody uses. There’s no cracking and no twisting. How chiropractic care works at the practice.
Does Dr. Dody diagnose conditions from a brain map?
No. A qEEG brain map is an assessment, not a diagnosis. It measures patterns of brain activity and compares them with an age-matched database. Dr. Dody uses it to decide whether neurofeedback makes sense and how to plan it. How brain mapping works.
Will Dr. Dody ask me to change my medication?
No. Decisions about medication belong to you and your prescribing doctor. Chiropractic, neurofeedback and nutrition do different jobs, and many people continue the care they already have.
